Girls Only Spa Day

The new craze is the ever popular Spa Day bridal shower. You can enjoy a time of pampering for yourself and your guests at a local spa or even at your own home. If you choose to host this event at a day spa, you might want to limit this bridal shower to just your wedding party, family and maybe a few other close friends because it can be very costly. There are now companies who offer at home spa parties complete with facial products, lotions, manicure and pedicure supplies to name a few. You can also find you local Mary Kay consultant who I'm sure would be more than willing to come over and give every guest a facial and make-up application. If you decide to book this wedding shower at a local spa, you might want to give all of your guest a choice of one or two services provided at the salon. Be sure to book well in advance to insure everyone can have an appointment at the same time. Many day spas offer wonderful lunches as well so you can plan to have lunch at the spa while you are all relaxed or choose a local restaurant close to the spa. You don't really need to worry about games at this party because everyone will be pampered individually. For a thoughtful favor you might present each guest with a wonderful French soap tied in a lovely organza bag, bath salts or a favorite lotion. Another shower favor idea would be a small hair wrap towel for each guest to take home or a great pair of house slippers. If you have the shower with an at home consultant, you might let each guest choose their favorite lotion or tube of lipstick.
