While there is a wide variety of wedding ceremonies,  from traditional to new age, most include the exchanging of vows between the man and woman getting married.  In fact, the vows are the heart and soul of the sacrament of marriage.  The words spoken to each other before family, friends and your spiritual leader are ones of a covenant to one another and should be spoken from the heart.  Being forced to make wedding vow proclamations  that you do not agree with can
put a damper on your entire wedding ceremony.  

So considering your faith, denomination, your ceremony and the requirements of the official or minister performing the ceremony, determine how much control you and your fiancé will have over the words spoken during the ceremony.  Will you be required to follow a strict pre-written script or will you have liberty to modify the traditional wedding vows or even compose your own wedding vows.
